Meetings

The Davenport Hotel has three meeting rooms which can cater for meetings and conferences from 16 to 250 delegates in a desirable central Dublin location.  The Gandon Suite offers two rooms with flexible options for your conferences. The additional Gandon central space links the two rooms and offers an additional tea and coffee break out area.

Our Boardroom is a stylish old-world boardroom that can seat from 10 to 40 and can also be used for private dining for 36 guests.

The wedding and events team at the Davenport Hotel Dublin offers you our finely tuned hospitality tailored to ensure we give you a wedding day to remember. On approaching the Davenport Hotel a certain romance is evoked by a facade dating back to 1863, that and the fantastic location combine to give you a special somewhere to celebrate your special day. With such traditional elegance make it the perfect wedding hotel for a vintage or traditional wedding.

We have three different options for the future bride and groom to look at for your reception:

  • Lanyon’s restaurant can cater for up to 114 guests and can be hired privately for your special day.
  • The Gandon Suite offers a versatile suite of rooms that can cater for up to 350 guests. This suite offers flexibility and our wedding co-coordinator can guide you through your options to ensure you get the reception that you want.
  • Our Boardroom offers guests a venue for an intimate wedding gathering of up to 36.

For your ceremony

  • The Davenport Hotel and the Alexander Hotel located across the road from the Davenport Hotel can accommodate civil ceremonies which offer you the opportunity to have an easy transition from ceremony to reception during your big day. Or if you are getting married locally we are only five minutes from Dublin’s registery office, Unitarian church and Newmans University Church on Stephens Green.

For your wedding photos

  • Merrion Square, Merrion Square Park, Trinity College, the leafy green banks of the Grand Canal or,(for shopaholics), Grafton Street are only a few of the array of amazing locations for your wedding pictures right on the doorstep of the hotel.

Merion Hall the building where the Davenport Hotel now is located has appeared in the movie, Hear my Song, and we have hosted lots of Black tie balls, fashion shows and themed high profile events in the last 20 years serving guests and residents in Dublin.   • Gandon suite; this versatile suite of rooms can accommodate a broad range of numbers of guests and a diverse type of event; casino nights, dinner dances, auctions, Black tie balls, birthday parties, product launches or customised themed events.
  • Boardroom; for a more intimate event the boardroom is perfect, with a maximum capacity of 50 for a reception or 36 for dinner. Lanyon’s restaurant offers a less formal option for your events. The atmosphere is full of charm and 100 guests won’t feel there is a crowd when attending an evening here.
