The National Concert Hall

The National Concert Hall is one of the most famous buildings in Dublin, one of Ireland’s most important cultural institutions and has been hosting concerts for more than a century.

It was designed by Thomas Newenham Deane and Benjamin Woodward and was opened in 1891. The venue is owned by the Irish Government’s Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

Ranked as one of the world’s top ten concert halls by international critics, with its acoustics being hailed as “among the world’s very best”. As well as being home to the RTE National Symphony Orchestra — it regularly hosts many concerts, operas, ballets, and dance performances from the world’s leading performers.
