8 Family Friendly Restaurant in Dublin

Dublin is packed with kid’s friendly activities such as Dublin’s Zoo, the National Botanic Garden, climbing and trampoline gym. However, when it comes to finding the perfect spot for a bite to eat with the family it can be a bit of a nightmare. We have selected eight restaurants with a kid’s friendly menu that have a welcoming atmosphere for families.

Milano – Various Location around Dublin

Milano is always a winner with kids. The kid’s menu includes starter, main and dessert featuring pizza, pasta, and salads. The famous doughballs with melting garlic butter will keep both kids and parents happy. Milano has branches across Dublin and caters for kids’ pizza making parties.  We recommend trying out their organic ice lolly with no added sugar you won’t be disappointed.

Captain Americas – Grafton Street

With two locations in Grafton Street and Blanchardstown Captain Americans welcomes families with children of all ages. For the burger fans, Captain Americas will keep the whole family happy. Serving large portions with an extensive selection of burgers alongside steaks, chicken wings, nachos, and many others. During weekends they have dedicated staff for kids with activity organised such as face painting or balloon animals. We can see this restaurant becoming one of your family favourites.

Avoca, Suffolk Street

As most of Avoca cafes, the one located on Suffolk Street is excellent for kids. Located on the top floor, the café serves tasty breakfast and lunch featuring fresh and homemade dishes. The self-service café is quite popular for tourists and locals alike. You can’t go wrong by bringing the kids here.

Ely Bar and Grill, IFSC

Ireland’s oldest wine bar is not necessarily where you would think to take your children, however, the restaurant offers a “Little people” menu and is renowned for its family friendliness. The stunning interior and the wine list will delight parents while the Boyne Valley beef cheek croquette will satisfy even the fussiest taste buds. The extra bonus, kids can choose half portions of selected a la carte dishes.

Gotham Café – Anne St Street

Located in South Anne St in Dublin 2, Gotham Café has a smiley Face Pizza that will keep your children happy.  Their delicious pizza will also satisfy adults and the casual setting allows the whole family to relax while watching the chef preparing food in the open kitchen.
